The National Court Reporters Association, or NCRA, is an organization for the advancement of the profession of the court reporter, closed captioner, and realtime writer.

STAR is a membership organization for court reporting, shorthand reporting, and computer- assisted transcription (CAT) professionals. We give our over 700 members the opportunity to further their careers and businesses through the integration and advancement of the latest technologies in the court reporting industry. STAR provides its members with extensive training, educational resources, networking events, access to the latest CAT technologies, and more.

The United States Court Reporters Association is the national representative for the federal court reporting profession. The Association is committed to promoting and maintaining the highest standards of verbatim reporting, quality services, professional ethics, fidelity to the ideals of the judicial system, and advocating continuing education as well as the utilization of state-of-the-art technologies.
