COURSE TITLE: StenoFusion: Blending Passion with Profession

PRESENTER NAME: Katiana Walton

CREDIT HOURS: 1.5 hrs.

DESCRIPTION:  Professional Skill Enhancement in Stenography; Building a career and Business in Stenography.

10:00 a.m. - Break

10:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

COURSE TITLE: “Nuts and Bolts” of the Juvenile Justice System

PRESENTER NAME: Judge Anna Young

CREDIT HOURS: 1.5 hrs.

DESCRIPTION: The “ins and outs” of the Arizona Juvenile Justice System in Arizona vis-à-vis dependency and delinquency hearings.

12:00 p.m. – 1:30 p.m. - Lunch

1:30 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.
COURSE TITLE: Principles of High-Frequency Magnum Steno Phrases

PRESENTER NAME: Katiana Walton

CREDIT HOURS: 1.5 hrs.  

DESCRIPTION:  Learning principles and practice techniques to increase steno speed and real-time accuracy.


3:00 p.m. - Break

     
3:30 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.

COURSE TITLE: TR*EUF/KWRA (Trivia) Time!

MODERATOR NAMES: Angela Miller, Terry Libretti, Tammy Gillett, Treva Colwell   

CREDIT HOURS: 1.5 hrs.

DESCRIPTION: Seminar attendees will actively participate to compete in answering trivia questions on both national and state reporting-related topics, including ethics.

THE VENUE:

Conveniently located in the prestigious Alvarado district in midtown Phoenix, directly south of the Heard Museum, the University Club of Phoenix provides classic cuisine, impeccable service, and the perfect ambiance for both business and social occasions.

There are several hotels near the venue, here are a few options: Fairfield Inn & Suites; Embassy Suites by Hilton Phoenix Downtown North & Hampton Inn Phoenix-Midtown-Downtown (none of these hotels are affiliated with the event).

The Fun:

There will be games, raffles, and socializing.  Breakfasts, breaks, and lunch will be provided.

Students:

Court reporting students are welcome to attend this event without charge.  By registering, students commit to attend all or a portion of the seminars.  Please email office@acraonline.org to get the code for registration.
